is there anyway to add more record options or change them.?

I suggest you take a look at "For The Record" plugin/utility. Far more options on what/how to record and includes a web based remote access tool to set or view recording settings and EPG remotely. See: For The Record

To use For The Record you need to have TV Server running. For the Reocrd is an enhancement on top of TV Server.

There is a goood installation guide included with the For The Record installation download.

I'm not sure I can parse (or understand) your sentence. But taking a stab at it...

If you are using MP and making recordings, then you ARE using (and have installed) TVserver. As surfermc states, the instructions for FTR are included in the download and are very complete. But... BE SURE to follow them exactly, especially the part about making your TV recording/timeshare folders into shares. Also, there's a part after installation (during the config) that may not work until you have rebooted your PC (the part about testing the shares) - so if in doubt, reboot!

To reiterate... FTR has a whole host of recording options/filters, even including automatic tracking of shows you recorded previously using FTR without relying on the EPG (so you can record 'repeats' and still only get ones that YOU have not seen previously). Really good program.
