Recording two shows on two different channels at different times... (1 Viewer)

Hello,

First time poster, first time lurker.

I have a Dell desktop with an ATI All-in-Wonder 9600 Pro installed. Machine is 3 years old. Gemstar's TV-Guide for Windows is the TV scheduler.

The Problem: I can schedule manually a single show on a single channel just fine. But if I schedule a show to be recorded on NBC at 8:00 PM and the show ends at 8:30 PM and I want to schedule another show on ABC at 8:30 PM or even 9:00 PM then I have problems. Meaning, the scheduler doesn't seem to be able to switch channels to ABC to record at the scheduled time.

The Question: Does MediaPortal automatically switch to the particular channel that's scheduled for recording - even after having finished a recording on another channel?

Yes

it can also hibernate and resume your PC to manage scheduled recordings
