recordings not being deleted (1 Viewer)

dunno if this is a bug or if i did something wrong.

i tried to delete a couple of recordings. so i highighted the recording, right clicked, chose "delete recorded tv" and it disappeared from the list of recordings.

BUT when i went to look in the folder where the recordingds are actually stored, the file is still there.

so it looks like the database entry has been deleted but not the file.

Can confirm this behaviour, been meaning to have dig around in the source when time allows.

When files are deleted, empty folder remains in recording directory. Could that also be deleted?

EDIT-> fixed, it does that now.

I am a new user, and cannot find how to delete a recording using a remote control.

Is it necessary to use a mouse for these functions?

no.. you do it via the remote

press the "i" button to bring up the context menu and choose delete.

Also seeing recordings not being deleted

I have also experience the physical files not being deleted from the recording folder when removed via MediaPortal. This has been happening all the time since earlier releases.

Some recordings do get deleted when the option is selected. However, most do not.

If you exit MediaPortal then the files do get deleted.
