TV-Server Version: Not sure but haven't updated from the bundled version
MediaPortal Version: 1.0.0.0
MediaPortal Skin: Streamed MP v0.8.440
Windows Version: Windows 7
1. TV Card: NVTV
MPEG2 Video Codec: MPV Decoder Filter
MPEG2 Audio Codec: MPA Decoder Filter
h.264 Video Codec: ATI Mpeg Video Decoder
Satelite/CableTV Provider: SKY

I am a newcomer to the world of mediaportal so please forgive me if this is a stupid question, I had a search around on the forums but couldnt find a similar problem.

I have a normal SKY box connected through S Video to a NVTV card. When I try to view the TV signal I can see the picture but it has a very heavy red tint and is quite dark, the sound comes through fine. I thought it was a problem with mediaportal to start with so I opened media center and had the same problem in that too.
The picture was fine in media center before I installed mediaportal.

I'm hoping that I just have a setting wrong somewhere but am having trouble getting to the bottom of it. Any advice would be much appreciated!

(Just to clarify I have tested the sky box and cables separately and all were ok and have tried reinstalling the NVTV card)

No personal experience with the NVTV card, but it sounds like something has changed the input settings on the card e.g. composite instead of s-video, SECAM/NTSC instead of PAL, or adjusted the contrast/brightness/colour settings.

I think the latest SVN - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/untested-mediaportal-tv-server-1-0-svn-builds-312/mediaportal-svn-snapshot-04-02-2009-11-27h-revision-22162-rar-57374/ - has various changes to analogue TV card handling, so it might be worth trying out.
