Hello everyone,

I have two major questions. Below you will find my specs.

1.) What is the best codec for SD TV? I have used MS DTV and liked the codec. But with MS DTV I sometimes had the problem that MP could not start the graph. So I switched back to MPC. I had also tested PDVD9 but after I had some problem with my codec settings, I started from scratch.

2.) I have the feeling, that the setting for codecs in MP Config doesn't work. For example I was not able to get ffdshow for audio working (the tray didn't show me the icon). I have also tried to set the codec with Windows 7 Filter Tweaker. Will the codec selection work with Win7 in MP? Or do I have to use DSFilter Tweaker?

3.) What is the refresh rates recommended for SD TV? I have seen (only) sometimes, some interlace problems. And I sometimes have the feeling, that I see little shadows while fast movie sceens, as 100HZ doesn't work. Should I use 1080i oder 1080p and what refreshrate - 50Hz oder 60Hz,....
