I recently changed the hardware in my HTPC... new motherboard, CPU and RAM, and since I've had the new setup running, my remote control has stopped working.
For remote control, I am using the IR receiver from the Hauppauge PVR-150, and I have the codes programmed into my Logitech Harmony 880. For the longest time, it has worked with very few hiccups, but since the upgrade it has stopped completely and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
I've done all of the basic troubleshooting that I can think of... verified the card is in device manager, removed and re-added it in the MP config, and of course verified that the remote eye is plugged in. Nothing seems to make a difference.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I might be able to do to get it working? Failing that, is there another IR remote control solution that I can check out that might work better?
Since I am on the topic, I've had a small problem with the remote for a long time, one I have mostly just ignored. I've noticed that when I am using any of the buttons on the remote, they seem to "double click" when they shouldn't. Meaning, I press the button once, but the command registers twice in MediaPortal. This happens quite often, I doubt I could hit more than 5-10 buttons without it happening at least once, and it often happens several times in a row. I've tweaked the settings in the Logitech software, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. If anybody has any suggestions on this as well, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks!!
