ok i had mp 0.9.8 or something installed.
that worked nice with my harmony one control. didnt work perfect but it did something.
now i did a clean install of mp 1.0.2 and i got probblems all over the place .
the only thing the remote can use are the standard left / right up/down keys.
non other key works anymore cant even stop a movie with stop button.
i tried evrything from girder to eventghost etc .
also tried some switching in the mp remote options etc .

my pc starts up mp starts and now ? comon there has tio be a way to configure my harmony one with mp the easy way without all kinds of external crap.

I have a Harmony One remote and it works fine with MP 1.0.1 ... I can't see from your post how you are setting up the remote to control MP

Here's a quick overview of my setup ... and that might help

a) I have an MCE Remote, and I taught the Harmony One all of the buttons from that remote
b) Opened MP configuration ... selected remote ... ticked MCE remote
c) Added Shortcut're plugin - instructions below

d) I used EventGhost to trace the button presses ... some
e) Set up some macros in EventGohst and do some more complex stuff - change display settings because I have a multi monitor setup

Took a bit of fiddling, but that was more me getting to terms with the Harmony remote than mediaportal and it was more point e that took the time

i didnt have an mce control so i could not let the harmony learn the keys .
i bought a loose microsoft ir reciever and had the harmony.
now i had the logitec software load in the mce controls in the remote . but seems to had problems with media portal..

what i did now was intsall ir server suite disabled the mce remote in media portal and enabled the mce controller plugin deleted the mce and put in some other device and it looks like it works so far.

the buttons that are not on the remote itself are programmed in the touch screen part of the remote .

but i still think the problem shoudl be fixed in the new mp release caus in the older version it worked on the fly so to say ..
since update the problems started so i hope they fix that in future release or include the ir server suite in the package .

Is IR server suite easy to use? I have a Silverstone case which has an iMon remote. So far I found Event Ghost really intuitive, but it doesn't have an iMon plugin ... and so the MCE IR receiver is doing the work, and my fancy Silverstone case feels like a bit of a waste.

I'm looking at buying a second PC for the kids room and want to use it to run their TV off it as well. IR Server Suite looks a bit more involved, but has the advantage of working with iMon ... from what I've read. I'm just weighing up the idea of whether it's worth the effort of trying to get IR Server working so I can save myself a few quid AND use the IR receiver in my Silverstone case with the MCE remote IR receiver on the new PC

yeh i also looked for everything tried hip girder and eventghost .
btu i could not get it to work properly.
then i installed ir server suite and i got it to work perfectly.
only wierd thing i had when i did check the mp pc this morning it worked when i arived back later nothing seemd to work.
now i disabled some startup programs again and it seems to work again.
though it works when i go to mp settings it says plugin not loeded isnt compatible with this version of mp or something.
but i dont care as logn as it works im happy.
