Synopsis::

I'm trying to set up a remote ftp share for videos.
The ftp site tests fine from all other software I've tried and from multiple computers including the HTPC I'm running MediaPortal on.

The remote ftp share setup in MediaPortal *appears* to be correct.
I've tried both my dyndns name and actual numeric IP address (internal and external to my network) for the IP address setting.
My router is forwarding port 21 to the ftp server.
I've entered and re-entered the username and password a dozzen times.
I do have a local folder for the files to download to and the ftp share is configured to use that directory.

I have MediaPortal set up so that it defaults to a local directory for videos and I have to back up and select the ftp share if I want to use it.
When I try to access the ftp shares I get a blank list with nothing in it from MediaPortal. The ftp site shows no log entry at all as if MediaPortal didn't even try to log in.
It's obvious from the log file that MediaPortal couldn't or didn't open the connection for some reason.
Here is the part of the logfile related to ftp shares with the hostname modified to keep people from hitting my ftp site.
Removed lines just prior to the ftp entries refer to skin rendering and I see no errors. There is no error.log file.

    Hi,
    Litle late but:

    This should now be working in 0.2RC3+CVS "mediaportal-cvs-03-25-2006--01-04" or maybe later today since there was some problem with downloading Movies.

    Regards
    Roy
