Noob here so bear with me...
I just started in the world of htpc's a week or so ago and was fiddling with VMC which was okay but seemed very limited in settings so here I am. I have MP installed and the remote is working, sort of. Its a Logitech harmony that is set to emulate a MCE remote and told MP I had a MCE remote during setup and again it is working. I'm not sure if the issues I'm having are because it's a harmony remote or the fact that MP 'thinks' I'm using a MCE remote.
I think though I'll have to remap some buttons.. a few issues I've found so far:
- back button does nothing, ESC key kicks me back to the root menu but haven't found a key yet that just goes back one menu.
- buttons like Music, Video, the Menu button, the FF, REW, etc buttons, all boot VMC and start the appropriate task there. Really slick if I still wanted to use VMC, but not so handy for MP.
- I tried playing a DVD which didn't work out so well again same issue with Menu button, FF, REW, Skip buttons do nothing, and the video was all messed up. Intro stuff was fine but movie itself no good, audio was choppy too. DVD play back worked flawlessly in VMC FWIW.
If anyone has any suggestion or can point me to where I can find some answers I'd appreciate it.
