Remotly controling media center via nerwork (1 Viewer)

I have a problem and do not know how to solve that.
I have dedicated PC for media centre connected to my TV and home theatre. I am using that mostly to listen to the music. What I want to do is be able to do is to control it with web interface from all other computers, laptops I have in the house including iphone and android devices. I do not need to stream the music from it to other device I just need to be able to switch on choose music and control it from other computers. Any idea?

I use VNC to do this with all of my PCs/Mac/Laptops.

I suggest RealVNC or TightVNC.

i am using logmein but i tough that there have to be a way to control mediaplayer or mediacenter via some nice interface. i know orb but it allows to stream the music and all i need it is to play on my MCE win 7 computer some music and be able to control it remotely

There is a web interface for tv, I am not sure how well it handles other media, if at all.
LogMeIn is rather clunky, I'm not sure how well that would work in comparison to traditional VNC server/client setups.
