This only occurs in server OSes and server OSes are not supported. So this is not a bug.

Whatever explenation you give it - it still is a bug - one way or the other.
And is something that has an easy workaround. Thought might be a good thing to mention.

The product is to good to let such a minor issue stop the fun of working with it.
So one might as well mention it. And state that will not be fixed since the OS is not a supported version.

Come to think of it. Maybe it's an idea to have a forum for bugs on supported OS-es and one for non-supported OS-es.
Both may contain fixes and workarounds. However, only the first catagory is monitored.

 The team is very happy to release a stable version again after a long period of feature freeze. And this is the best thing you can come up with as new member on the forum? Don't be a party crasher :D

As newcomer please read the wiki first for requirements:
    GeneralRequirements - MediaPortal Manual Documentation

Especially this line: "Please, do not submit bug reports when running an unsupported operating system! You will only burden the developers, and cause unnecessary frustration for both yourself and the MediaPortal developers."

I understand the point made. No bug reports should be made against a non-supported OS.

On the other hand, from my perspective, I'm contributing to one of the team mission statements by:
Installing the product, running into isses, investigate those issues, found a workaround and shared that knowledge.

Sharing knowledge is considered one of the mission statements:
"Promotes the sharing of knowledge and collaboration - Through the use of information sharing tools and practices MediaPortal is a collaborative environment."

Let me know what other forum I should use for sharing that kind of information? And contribute to the mission?
