I do not know if this is the appropriate place, however If any developer is bored maybe they can look into an AirPlay plugin for mediaportal. All it seems is that it is similar to me is that it is like a streaming quicktime or windows media file. Wouldn't need much GUI work, just embedded really. Wish I knew how to do it but I can test I have 3 different idevices that stream.

As a start there is the xmbc implementation and the airmediaplayer for which development has ceased. One thing that will (probably) not happen is the pure audio streaming, since that one is encoded.
