MP1.01 has been working quite well , but last night it failed to go to standby. The event log shows that a request to suspend power was denied by tvservice. The only change I made yesterday was to install IE8.

    Logs attached.

    Hi,
have you activated to prevent standby while EPG grabbing? This is why my system won't go to standby as i start working with MP.

I don't use EPG grabbing, I use xmltv. TVService tried to go to standby many times during a 12 hour period.

    Hi:

I am now seeing this error as well. Running MP 1.1 (Final, no SVN), and it was running fine initially, but all of a sudden I am seeing this issue in the last week or so. I don't use EPG grabbing as well.

If I stopped tvservice.exe from the Services control panel applet in Win XP, I can standby and/or hibernate, but my system just wouldn't go to sleep if tvservice.exe is running.

Anyone has any ideas? I will try and attach my log files when I get home later today.

    Thanks.
