1/ Break out everything from the code about the home page and make homepage skinnable
2/ Break out "hyperlinks" from the code and put them into a xml file. That way we can add our own buttons
3/ Make a commandline option to jump to a module directly instead of coming to the homepage

thanks

1- for what purpose? home is skinnable
2- you can allready make your own buttons, use the action tags or hyperlinks
3- allready discussed to be added @ some point

1-if it were skinnable I should be able to take the code from the mytvhome.xml and paste it into home.xml. That doesn't work. I guess there is code in the exe file about home.xml
    2- Didn't know that sorry.
    3- Great

skinning is making the looks different.
    You can do this perfectly.

What you want is add functionality to home.
YOu can do this by using the custom buttons but it is not possibly to make home have a tvguide for example. As this is not what a skin should do.
    Thats more like scripting.

Dunno if we will go this far, but it is noted.

This option would be absolutely great to have! Any idea when this will be implemented? Perhaps something along the lines of:

    C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.exe /run="My TV"

    Many thanks, and great product!
