Hi there,
I was wondering whether it's possible to restart mediaportal via my Remote? There's the menu to restart, hibernate, shutdown windows. But it would be great to also be able to restart only Mediaportal without having to reboot the whole PC. Any ideas on that?

THX,
Basti

Hi there.

Im new to the forum, but there is a way to do it for sure. When you are on the the main home screen there is a menu you can access using the circular shaped arrow keys on the remote (Im using the microsoft remote) - This brings out the option to close Media portal. On my remote, I can press the green button to start Media portal again (but you need to enabled this feature in client server app *i think, might be wrong*, its last option along the left hand list).

I dont use the Blue3wide skin, but it is possible for sure in both the maya and frames skins!

Hope that helps

Under Mediaportal Config go down to "Additional 3rd Party Checks" click the button to "Enable policy to prevent services startup" and you can use the Green Button on your remote to open Mediaportal.
