I have a strange and annoying problem with MP. When my PC resumes from hibernate I cannot play DVDs using AC3/DTS passthrough. The DVD plays for a second or two, freezes for 4 to 5 seconds, plays for a second or two and so on. If I change the audio codec to downmix the stream to stereo it works fine. Obviously, this is not ideal, I want AC3 or DTS!
If I reboot the PC everything is fine, the passthrough works well. I've tried all audio codecs, Nvidia. MPA and Descaler and all exhibit the same problem. I'm using default waveout device as the renderer.
My board is an Asus k8u-x with Soundmax AD1888 onboard sound which boasts a coax spdif port.
Does anybody have any ideas about this problem. I'm sure that it all worked OK in the past and that later versions of MP have caused this to happen (but I can't swear to it).
