Hi,

most times when resuming from suspend MP hangs. From my experience I can state the following:
* if the system is suspended for a short time resume usually works as expected
* after a longer time (~half an hour and more) resume works rarely, in this case the last shown TV image is shown.

I already discovered a few 'modes':
1) changing the channel brings system back to life
2) connection to TV server is lost (service restart solves the problem)
3) Media Portal hangs and reacts with 1 minute delay. Even a MP restart (including TV server) does not help here. Also other programs do not show TV streams. Only a system restart can help here.

Logs attached for #3.

Windows Media Center works

FYI with Windows Media Center I have now no such issues. Suspend/resume works smoothly as expected, scheduled recordings wake up the HTPC while MediaPortal remained sleeping most of the time.

With MediaPortal I also had some troubles mainly with the video stream:
* paused image followed by fast forward with constant speed sound stream
* paused image - system hangs
* stream completely lost - system hangs
* random crashes

With Windows Media Center I had no hangs, no 'unknown errors', no TV service lost, no crashes, ... it just worked. Sorry to say that, but I'll stick with the Windows Media Center. I wish you all the best and I keep hoping that MP2 will also work for me.

    Have you tried the following settings in MP Config?

    MP Config -> General settings

    [X] - Apply work around to fix mediaportal freezing on resume on some systems
    [X] - Restart mediaportal on resume
    [ ] - Turn monitor/tv on when resuming from standby

    You could also try installing "MCE MST Standby tool" <-- put that into google, it also helps with some MP problemos.
