I've been listening to audio books lately and often I stop listening to watch tv, go out, go to sleep etc.
When I come back I have to fast forward to where I remember I was last at. This can take a few minutes(some files are several hours) and if I overshoot, I have to start again - for some reason you can't re-wind audio and there's no stepping as in video.
Having the option to resume audio from where you left off would save a lot of time and hassle, especially when you forget where you were up to.
This could be implemented a couple of ways, here's a few ideas.
Since we obviously don't want to be resuming normal music files of only a few minutes:
1) Automatically allow resuming for audio files over X length(say 10 minutes)
2) Allow per-folder/share resumable setting
3) Have the ability to place a media 'bookmark'
You would only be asked if you want to resume when you manually select the file and not when it's in a play list you create etc. Especially relevant for #1 because you don't want to be playing music and suddenly hit a 11 minute song in a play list and be asked 'do you want to resume?'
