    Hi, sometimes very rarely
i have got bad playback of TV in multiseat

in straming log i got that at this time
    Code:
    06-03-2010 22:13:10.228 Seeking beyond the end position: 1292333184 > 1092340516
    06-03-2010 22:13:10.337 Seeking beyond the end position: 1292389020 > 1092395036
    06-03-2010 22:13:10.447 Seeking beyond the end position: 1292443540 > 1092445796
    06-03-2010 22:13:10.540 Seeking beyond the end position: 1292486216 > 1092492796
    06-03-2010 22:13:10.650 Seeking beyond the end position: 1292533216 > 1092536036
    06-03-2010 22:13:10.744 Seeking beyond the end position: 1292584540 > 1092584916
    06-03-2010 22:13:10.853 Seeking beyond the end position: 1292633420 > 1092633796
    06-03-2010 22:13:10.947 Seeking beyond the end position: 1292674216 > 1092680796

Its lead to discontinuity in tsreader log and holes in playback

skipping back to 15 sec fixes the issue and all become showing correctly

No steps to reproduce just watch and wait

last time when it happened i had got
    that issue i saw
    Code:
    06-03-2010 22:12:47.150 Recorder: TIMESHIFT Info : Program clock reference forward jump ( 248086 ).
    int tswriter log

so i think its because of broadcaster trouble
but i think mp must not to go infinite loop with "Seeking beyond the end position:" in that situation

Maybe not only RTSP problem because tsreader consists same code for singleseat version

    Re: RTSP streaming issue

Every now and then I have the same issue. Mostly when I watch a channel for a long time. Indeed, going back 15 secs fixes the issue, afterthis you can go to the end again and video runs smoothly. Unfortinatly I don't have any logs atm, but I can confirm this behaviour, I've had this 2 times with RC1 already.

    Re: RTSP streaming issue

I have seen the same issue with RC1, but have not been able to capture any logs so far. Skipping back one step (15 seconds) fixes the problem.

Last occurrence was with timeshift settings file length 50 Mb
    Code:
    27-04-2010 23:40:49.984 Seeking beyond the end position: 1050024572 > 1000028748
    27-04-2010 23:40:50.93 Seeking beyond the end position: 1050101504 > 1000103948
    27-04-2010 23:40:50.203 Seeking beyond the end position: 1050184788 > 1000190428
    27-04-2010 23:40:50.312 Seeking beyond the end position: 1050263184 > 1000267508
    27-04-2010 23:40:50.421 Seeking beyond the end position: 1050348348 > 1000352108
    27-04-2010 23:40:50.531 Seeking beyond the end position: 1050424864 > 1000429188
    27-04-2010 23:40:50.640 Seeking beyond the end position: 1050510028 > 1000515668
    27-04-2010 23:40:50.750 Seeking beyond the end position: 1050588424 > 1000590868

    subtraction 1050348348 - 1000352108 give me a result near 50 megs (m_currentposition is 1 file beyond m_endposition)
Then thats confirm my previous point. Streaming server sometimes loosing correct timeshift files count or something similar.

Arion, how to run streaming server with verbose logging? (m_bDebugOutput true)
I want to try with it and report back results when next time it happens.
