Running MediaPortal on secondary monitor, making it primary? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

First, I'm sorry if I have put this in the wrong section, if so, please move it.

I'm running MediaPortal on my TV as secondary display from my normal computer (a 8800GT graphics card). The problem is that I get a lot of stutter this way. If I set the TV as the only display the stutter is gone. Same thing with both FFDShow and CoreAVC (CUDA). So everytime I have to go into the nVidia control panel and set the TV as only display. Could this be automated in any way? My dream scenario is when I press the MCE button, it will change the TV to only display and when I close MediaPortal it should set my PC monitor as primary again.

I have run out of ideas as how to make this work. I could get another graphics card but only have one PCIe port so that feel's a bit drastic. Any ideas?

Same problem here. Do you use Windows 7? If so, have a look at this thread.

Ultramon can handle the monitor switching and IMHO is a must have when using multiple monitors.

On my XP rig fullscreen games stutter unless the windows taskbar is on the same monitor as the game.
