Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) I will try again very soon on another computer with the same files. My laptop setup could have gotten "compromised". I have three movies that I tested with, here is the codec information according to VLC 1. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs.avi - mpga / XVID 2. Fargo.mkv - mp4a / avc1 3. Arthur and the invisibles VOB files - a52 or dts / mpgv I only later realised that DVD has it's own settings, so I guess this DVD has issues being played with ffdshow. It plays perfect with PowerDVD as decoder. Nevertheless, I included it in testing. SAF 2010-08-30 auto: (log ending with _06) 1. Cloudy - fails 2. Fargo - fails 3. Arthur - plays garbled (perfect with powerDVD, different issue) SAF 2010-08-30 ffdshow and ffdshow DXVA for H264 (log ending with _08) 1. Cloudy - plays 2. Fargo - fails 3. Arthur - same as above SAF 2010-06-25 (previous version I have here at work) (log ending with _11) 1. Cloudy - plays 2. Fargo - fails 3. Arthur - crashes MP (pointing at incompatibility with FFDshow) I tried playing Fargo with PowerDVD decoder, fails as well. And graphstudio fails as well with SAF 2010-08-30. I will provide an extract with MKVmerge later on...
