Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder) Jay_UK Thanks, you star :thx:. I completely uninstalled AVG Free and it worked first time!!!! I always put the anti virus software on early so never tried SAF installation without AVG. I have another question now though :sorry: : When I used my old system I used SPDIF output and when-ever I played a video ffdshow audio showed in the taskbar. I could use ffdshow config to change the sound settings that come through the SPDIF to my amp without problem. Now I have the new system with 5450 GPU I output sound via the HDMI and whereas with SPDIF my AMP showing "Dolby DTS" or "Dolby Digital" (or whatever, as per what was set on the SPDIF passthrough from ffdshow), it now just always shows "MULTI CH DIRECT". Ffdshow audio is no-longer displayed in the taskbar (which doesn't bother me) but more importantly the speakers seem to be all mixed up - with a mixture of sound coming from the front and rear speakers (louder at the rear) and no sound from the centre speaker. In windows I have the HDMI Audio device set to 5.1 speakers (and have tried others with no luck). What am I doing wrong? EDIT: FIXED - I re-installed without selecting passthrough and now all is brilliant (so far):thx: Robbo100
