Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF) I've had a problem forever with OnlineVideos playing iPlayer 1280x720 programmes as shown in the picture below. I checked with Graphstudio, which showed it was using ffdshowDXVA, but if I downloaded the programme and played it, it used PowerDVD11 and had no artificats. I tried changing all the MP Codec settings that were on ffdshowDXVA to PowerDVD11 (the one in Videos and one in TV) but OV still used ffdshowDXVA when streaming these HD programmes. I then messed around in ffdshowDXVA and manually changed from the default preset to the xSD one. I think the main difference is the latter doesn't have hardware acceleration ticked for H264. After doing this, OV changed to using normal ffdshow the next time I played the programme and there were no artifacts. I'm not sure why changing the preset has made OV switch which codec it uses. So the solution seems to be to make ffdshow and not ffdshowDXVA play these files. I'm not really sure how I've done this though or if I've disabled DXVA for everything else, so if you could find a way to incorporate this adjustment into SAF that would be great.
