Hi,
there is something I do not understand:
When the same channels can be received on different tv-cards (in my case on dvb-s and on dvb-c), why are those channels mapped to both cards?
I would prefer to use both possibilites independently (to avoid conflicts).
Now I renamed all channels with a card suffix, restarted channel scans and remapped all channels manually (much work).
Is there any reason MP does not do this by default?
Could there by an option to do this automatically?

My the way: what is the menu item 'combinations' good for?

Thx for any answer.

I have exactly the same issue on my Media Portal.
I have 2 Fire DTV, same channels on both cards.
I cant have the same name of the channels on both cards (cant see the channels then) i must rename channels on one of the cards, witch make my epg useless on one of my cards...

I just had a similar problems.
Got an old analog card and just added a dvb-s card.
Some of the channels are the same on both.

I used the Combinations section to fix the problem of the same channels being listed twice, some with different names like TV1 and TV One.

I just clicked on one of the channels in the list and then a list of other channels appears on the right. Select the one that matches the channel I clicked on first then click Combine.

Now I only have the channels listed once in the EPG.
