Satellite Card?

 Yeah, but can't I just get a regular T.V. Card, or does it HAVE TO be a Satellite Card?

If you are willing to sacrifice quality, then STB -> analogue TV-card (pref. HW-based) is an option. You do "need" MCE-remote w/blasters (or eq.) to change channel (and of course a STB).

If you know you can get it to work, you should, however, consider getting a DVB-S card.

I know little of such things, but apparently Sky is often 10750. Give it a try. Freeview is horizontally polarised.

The reason I was thinking I needed more RAM is that TV now seems to be HiDef and so the files have grown. I edit the files before storing them, to reduce some size. It is finding that slower, I think. Or it could just be because I'm expecting more? The Baseboard manufacturer says ASUSTech Computer Inc; Baseboard product P7P55D-E...

Can anyone tell me the step-by-step procedure for bringing up a second channel in pip mode? I can only do it sometimes, after many tries, and it’s not clear what I am doing that makes it work on those occasions when it does. Cannot find guidance on the site. Thanks, N. Again, if anyone knows how to do this, would be much...

Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

It's getting weirder..... If I remove all the IP cards in the TVServer setup and then add them back I can scan the M3u and tune the stations but if I rescan it on the same card it just keeps updating the 1 channel. My brain is melting.........
