save the view format? (1 Viewer)

Is there a way to save the format to one setting (eg thumbnails) instead of reverting back to list format every time?

Open the configuration and click the GUI Settings tab at top there you can choose the default view.

I know ithis is an old thread but this doesn't work in Moving Pictures 1.3.0 or 1.3.1 - it always start up in listview no matter what I select in the GUI settings

Try: MovPic config -> GUI Settings -> "Be default show movies in" -> "Last Used View"

I'm going to point out here I have the same issue. No matter what I do it always goes back to list view.

What skin is in use? This info is normally shown in mediaportal.log file, and please next time; attach log file to make forum easier to read.

Reason I ask on skin, is because I see the following erros:

(date) (time) Warn [MovingPicturesSkinSe]: No "IsViewAvailable" skin setting for ..... view.

Which probably cause the Last Used View system to fail.

I have tried different skins namely Black Glass Nova HD, StreamedMP and the DefaultWide - same result every time. I have attached my log files If you care to take a look at them

Just uninstalled MP and did a new install of 1.2.2 with just the default skin, moving pictures, fanart handler and subcentral. I still can't get moving pictures to pick up the last selected view or any specific view (like filmstrip) - it always select listview no matter what

I have attached log files again - I still get the error No "IsViewAvailable" skin setting for CATEGORIES view
