Scaleo E Siemens System (2 Viewers)

Hello,

just letting people know about a working set up I have.

Siemens Scaleo E unit MCE remote
Windows XP home sp3
Nebualr tv cards 2 Not tuned yet need a digital signal
LCD works too have set minidisplay to MCE display type (but only shows Music when you go to the music area of media portal.)

Does any one eles have a working Scaleo system and how is there lcd display?

Hmm you have to install one of the newer SVN Versions. Because in the newer versions is the scaleo ev driver back in minidisplay. Scaleo E has the same vfd and so it shows much more!

yes mine is black i can take a photo if it helps. I just don't understand why it will not show album information when its playing. Inside MP if you go from tv to music it qiuckly says MUSIC in the top left corner. But can get any thing eles. I don't understand how the minidisplay talks to the LCD and how to programm to options to display information.

Do you know how to configur the minidisplay or is there a manual at all?

I have looked at other post but still confused.

Well you have to configure the minidisplay to use the scaleo ev driver on usb. If you use the mce compatible mode the display runs over the fujitsu siemens drivers and they are very slow and don´t show all informations. I use my scaleo e often to play music without turning the beamer on. I navigate through my music files by using the informations shown on the vfd. If you use the scaleo ev driver in the minidisplay mediaportal communicates without the driver directly with the vfd. I haven´t even installed the drivers from fujitsu siemens and it runs perfectly!

Thats like the minidisplay plugin should be configured for a Scaleo E or Scaleo EV System!

ok so i need to get the simens ev drivers for my system? As i can see in the drop down siemens scaleo ev driver? if you point me to a link that would be great.

No you don´t need the fujitsu driver because the driver is in the minidiplay plugin! If you don´t find the driver in the drop down menu you just need a newer version of the minidisplay plugin.

Just download the following newer version, extract it and place it in your mediaportal folder!

I think a lot of people had a problem. I have read loads of post on here and other sites with the same problem and no clear solution. So hopfuly this will help others out there.
