I'm new to all this TV tuner stuff so please, bear with me ;)

Whenever I use the setup wizard to scan for TV channels I choose "UK-All Regions" and click next, the scanning information appears briefly then MediaPortal crashes. I am using todays build of MP.

Don't use the wizard to scan (it is flakey) - run MediaPortal Setup and configure your TV card from there .... :)

Thanks for the quick response! Sorry, but I'm very new to this (I only received my TV card yesterday ;) ) Where is the channel scan feature in the setup? I can only find adding channels manually, which isn't of much use to me as I don't know the frequencies etc of the channels.

MediaPortal Setup -> Television -> Capture Cards -> Edit, then you should see the "Autotune" button (I think that's what it is called). This will commence a scan of all the available channels.
