Schedule local/online updates instead of every 12 hours? (1 Viewer)

Google Code issue here: Issue 187 - mptvseries - Scanning enchancements (disable on startup and schedule based on time of day) - Google Code

I'd love to be able to schedule an online refresh based on TIME OF DAY (i.e. 3am) instead of every 12/24 hours, etc.

Also, I need to DISABLE AUTO ONLINE/LOCAL REFRESH when MediaPortal starts. My HTPC is asleep most of the time and it takes my Database HOURS to refresh!!!

I general I would say if you want you're request fullfilled soon it's best to add a few more exclamation mark, after all how else are the devs supposed to know how urgent this is for you? You have used a few, but adding more wouldn't hurt to show you're passion.

Subtle, but firm usage of the caps key further helps to underline the importance of the issue you have raised, again I believe you could have made use of it more. Some people might tell you it's rude, but if the caps key weren't meant to be used, why would keyboard manufactures go through the trouble to add one? Surely not out of the kindness of their heart.

My third recommendation, but I see you are already aware of it, is bumping you're unanwsered thread at least every couple of hours. This helps keep you're request on top, and as an added benefit ups the postcount, making the casual reader think many many people experience the same issue. In one word, brilliant.

Oh, and of course crossposting, but this is more for other users, as you have more than shown you are capable of it. This point ensure that incapable people, such as devs, who surely overlook and don't bother to read other areas, see you're request nonetheless.

With all this in mind, it can't possibly take more than a few hours anymore until the devs have implemented you're wish, in the extremley unlikely event that they have not, repeat 1-4 until desired result occurs.

My caps were supposed to be italics. I was not yelling; Sorry if it came across that way (and i can see how it did reading back on it). Also, I responded over 24 hours later to bump it back up to see if any users were interested in the same thing. I want to know if it was something important for other people, too. I may wind up trying this myself in the code since i have free time now; if I am allowed.

I know friends of mine that use this that have no interest in the forum have agreed on a few things:

1) Disabling update on mediaportal startup
2) Being able to schedule a scan you can predict coming (every 12 hours is dependent on when you actually started MP, which people don't know)
