??? explain yourself. my htpc wakes for recordings perfectly fine and hibernate again when it's over...

you did see the powersheduler plugin did you?

or do you request something else?

I have heard about it, but I cannot find a place to try it without paying for it first, I have no problem paying for it if it works correctly.
The other issue is, I would have thought this would be a core function of a mediacenter, especially when electricity bills are always on the rise

ahh, i guess you confuse two things

1) PVR.sheduler... requieres a donation (5€ are enough i think)

and:

2) the powersheduler plugin. this is already integrated in mediaportal and therefore for free. you find it in configuration --> plugins --> process plugins.

activate and configure it. it explains itself i guess. it serves all that i need.
