Hi,

i have found a reproducible problem with my tv recordings. When ever a am watching live TV on a channel and a scheduled recording starts on a channel that is on a different frequency (transponder) everything works as expected: i get a notification about the upcoming scheduled record, the live tv stops and the tvserver does its record job. BUT if the scheduled record is on the SAME frequency as the live tv it looks like this: i get a notification about upcoming record and than nothing at all. The live tv remains playing, tvserver creates a 0 byte file on the recording folder and therefore the recording is fucked up.

Is this a general *known* bug or am i missing some important config setting to get rid if this? As mentioned in my setup-list above, i have set the CAMlimit to 1 (all channels from my cable provider are crypted btw)

:D for any feedback :D

Sure that would be an option IF my CAM would support it ;) but unfortunately it doesn't support more than one stream at the same time. So in my thinking thats what the CAMLimit option should manage (in other words: IF the CAMlimit is forced to 1 the tvserver should stop live tv even if it is on the SAME frequency)

well, if your cam is only able to decode ONE Stream, then I don't think you have a chance to wach/record more than one channel at the same time

    :(
The same frequency has nothing to do with the decoding. Every single channel needs to be decoded. So yes, TV Server is working as expected when stopping the live stream if another stream/record is tuning in....

Maybe there is a Cam available for you that is able to decode more than one stream?

    cheers

Sorry, maybe u got my initial post wrong, i would be glad to see the tvservice notify me about the scheduled recording and stopping the live-tv, but exactly this is the problem: IT DOESN'T do this when live-tv and scheduled recording are on the same frequency.

So as far as i can see, the CAMLimit value is somehow not interpreted right here?!

    cheers :)

    hmmm, just a dumb question:
have you set the notification hook in configuration?

    cheers

yeap, the notification is set, but it doesn't matter if it is set or not, when it is not set the only difference is that i don't get the notification :) The main problem remains: live-tv isn't stopped for a scheduled recording when both channels are on same frequency!
