(picture is bad since its obviously dark due to the projector)

Work in progress in the actual theatre front, but the actual htpc is finished.

displays:
Epson emp-tw600 720p projector (that's picture you faintly see)
thomson 28wm100 28" widescreen crt tv

picture sources:
kiss dp1500
htpc (p4 3.0 northwood, 1GB ram, 600GB hd, TT 1500-c, winxp and MP)

sound source:
old sony stereo amp and two just as old sony speakers

TODO:
- move into a new apartment in the fall
- make a MDF screen
- make a platform for the hardware and ditch the tv
- ditch the sound system and upgrade to a 5.1 amp and 5x tannoy F2 speakers and a tannoy sub
- get a better digicam
- take a new picture

As the owner of a projector, you really should buy a real screen. I don't think MDF will be very good. A fixed screen is better then pull down.

mdf with proper paint will do great, ive been reading alot about it :)

also a mdf board cut to size is like 20 euros

a "professional" screen costs 300-infinite euros

I used MDF for my screen and it looks great. I just used this paint called screen goo thepicture looks amazing with my Optoma projector. It is a little extra work, but worth it.
