Here it is, a new MediaPortal plugin to switch between different screen settings!

Ok, I know there are some other solutions for this (e.g. execution of commands using Multishortcut plugin), but after looking a while through this forum I've created my own plugin. This is a one-button-solution, so users don't need to select different options or menu entries.

    Highlights:

    • ability to switch between different screen modes and resolutions using 3rd party applications (e.g. ATI Catalyst(TM) Control Center).

    Important Information:

    • This plugin will not continued, the functionality is now part of the ScreenControl plugin

    Installation:

    • download and extract the attached file "ScreenMode.zip"
    • copy all required files to your MediaPortal directory

    Version History:

    • 2009-10-19: v0.1.0 - initial release

For detailed installation instructions, configuration methods and more informations about this plugin, please see the documentation "ScreenMode for MediaPortal.pdf".

    Cheers, Micropolis ;-)

I think this is a good idea. However, if the change is done automaticly, the WAF will go up. I believe I would hear a lot of: "start the movie and quit that ckickity clacking on the remote already!" :)

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

  • Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.
