    Hi, clean install of MP1.1RC1

With CoreAVC hd codec when zap from sd to hd i see some frames of HD channel (slow motion) and then picture stops, sound continue working. Seeking back and forward doesnt cure the issue. Only start stop tv helps.

If i start tv on hd channel now stops, only after sd to hd zap.

I think you should also use the MS codec for H.264 if you use it for SD.

    Dear jof,

AFAIK there is no MS codec for Windows XP that supports H.264 decoding. Actually, the only codec I have found that supports proper H.264 hardware enabled decoding on Windows XP (through the ION chipset in my case) is CoreAVC.

    MPEG2 Video Codec: MS DTV-DVD
    h.264 Video Codec: CoreAvc 2.0
How were you able to configure this?

Because "MediaPortal Configuration" ensures that if you want to use MS DTV-DVD, then its always selected for mpeg2 _and_ h.264.
The reason is that the MS DTV-DVD _can not be used_ with any other codec together.

So how did you configure this codecselection?

I have no issues with MPV as mpeg2 codec and coreavc 2.0 as h.264 codec in winxp.

and you did not post any logs, nor systemspecs.

Just try it, after Manfred recent changes its possible again, but its not important what mpeg2 codec seleced.
With mpc mpeg2 codec same working scenario

ps logs with mpc mgeg codec...

You are right - thats a bug. :(

0002719: logic to ensure that W7 DTV-DVD codec does not get used with any other video codec is broken - MediaPortal Bugtracker

Strange thing is that i can not confirm this behaviour. works nicely with MPC-MPV + coreavc 2.0 (under W7 and WinXP)

    Edit:
clean you please use MPC-MPA instead of the AC3Filter ?

    probably Founded it.
It happens when hardware deinterlacing option in CoreAvc is selected.

Upd: Without that it hangs more-more later but still there.

Can u check with hardware deinterlacing option enabled?
Too bad because with it i have perfect picture quality
