I'm planning to build up a new htpc. So i'm very interested in having a hand in hardware selection. I know there's a forum/thread for it, but it would be very interesting giving the opportunities to search for people that have a certain piece of hardware, and send them a PM. While system specs begin to be compiled by users I think this could be done.

generally speaking everything is possible.
but this would require a completely different approach on system specs system.
i will have a word with the vbulletin developer who has coded it for me.
maybe we can get this into the next version.
