Select Picture in Picture (1 Viewer)

Hi

I've been using MediaPortal for a couple of weeks now and I have to say that, even after the couple of nightmares I've had getting it to work, it is far superior to Vista MCE, so well done all.

I have a couple of outstanding issues though and I'm struggling a bit with the answers.

1. Is it possible to set a single command on the remote to bring up the main menu (like the green button)
2. How do the thumbnails get generated for the music and movie files? Some are appearing and some are not.
3. When a movie file is playing and I start moving around in MP, it minimises to play in that Picture in Picture style on the bottom left hand side of the screen. Question is, how can I select that to bring it back into focus and back to full screen without starting the movie file from the the beginning again?

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

Hi there and welcome

1. Green button on my MCE remote does exactly that. Using IR Server Suite. The button is mapped to action "Switch Home".

2. There are some options in MP Configuration where you can adjust thumbnail generation. Have not played a lot with it myself. Give it a try and return with more specific details.

IR Server Suite

IR Server Suite? Now there's a bone of contention.

I've got two choices. Either program up my MCE Remote and get my OneforAll 8 Series to learn the commands, or teach my OneforAll direct. What would the be the quickest/easiest way to do this? No disrespect to the IR Server Suite authors but I'm struggling a bit with the documentation.

Is there an idiots guide for an idiot like me?
