I had the idea of having one codec per tuner
I have 2 tuners, ATSC and NTSC, and after doing some test I find that NTSC video quality is better when decoded with the cyberlink codec. I try to use it with ATSC but the aspect ration is wrong and de-interlacing 1080i with cyberlink is to slow for my PC
For the ATSC tuner I switch to Nvidia's Pure Video codec because the image quality is better with HD video and the de-interlacing isn't as demanding
I was also thinking that it would be a good idea to have things like de-interlacing settings be per tuner and also post processing
I'm still using the old TV engine because I can't get ATSC to work, but from my brief encounter with the new engine I don't think the features are present
Thanks
