hi all.
i am having serious trouble with media portal...i did the one click install
I have installed it on my HTPC and it is up and running...
i have read the manual but it is poorly constructed and i have no idea what the tv server /client is....
i am going to make a video for setup once i get this working to help other new comers like me...


here are my problems...
1. How to i scan to local free-to-air tv channels my HTPC has a Tuner dtv-1000

2. Will the Imon remote work , if yes which one do i chose..

First - register on the forum (and fill out the system specs section and make it viewable by everyone) then we know which country you are from and what equipment you are using.

Follow these instructions first - TV-Server/config-TV-Server-first-start - MediaPortal Manual Documentation - then (in the left pane of the window shown) select a tuner - you should then get a 'scan for channels' button in the right pane of the window, along with controls to select the country etc. If you have multiple tuners you need to repeat the channel scan for each one.

Imon remote works fine. There's plenty of forum posts here with instructions on how to set it up.

As to which one you use depends on which model you have. You will need a mediaportal.imo file, which is available in the forum if you do some searches....
