Way down the list of important things but MP site still uses all the <= 1.0 logos and designs. Should there not be an update to make it more like the new black MP style?

yes, we are working on it. This is combined with an update of nearly all software in the background (CMS/forum/repsitory/wiki) and also content. This will be done in several steps, starting with the hp in the near future.
