"Shuffle Songs" feature (1 Viewer)

I still use my iPod hooked into my stereo instead of MediaPortal for playing music - why? Because the majority of the time I just choose "Shuffle Songs" on my iPod which randomly plays all songs in random order.

I also have my iPod's shuffle settings to "shuffle albums", which means when I choose Shuffle Songs, it actually plays all my albums in a random order, if that makes sense.

I would love for MediaPortal to have this functionality - a simple "Shuffle Songs" or "Shuffle Albums" button so I don't have to think of what music to play (and then search for it).

Hi, thanks rekenaar for the suggestions.

I tried installing both last night, neither of them worked for me (using MediaPortal 1.0)

One Button Music installed OK, I configured it but then when I'd press "P" on my keyboard I'd hear MediaPortal make it's "click" sound but no music would start playing. I tried assiging a playlist to 0 and that didn't work either.

So I tried SmartPlaylists but that screwed up my Home page totally, possibly because there's no skin for it (I was using Blue3wide but Smartplaylists doesn't come with a skin for that).

So no luck for me.

Edit: I just saw the OnebuttonMusic thread over here:

And I may have installed it into the wrong folder (plugins/windows) instead of plugins/process so I'll give that a try when I get home tonight.
