SigmaTel USB-IrDA Dongle Hardware not working (1 Viewer)

Hello I just put together a HTPC system and I 'm currently using a H659 Harmony remote. Since my system does not have a INFRARED port, Im using a USB Ifrared by SigmaTel USB-IrDA Dongle Hardware id is USB\VID_066F&PID_4200&REV_0008 and USB\VID_066F&PID_4200
I cannot seem to get it working, do you have any suggestions as to what im missing. thx for youre assistance

    As far as I know, IrDA is for transfering data between IrDA devices (Laptops, Mobile Phones, Organizers, ...). For receiving commands from infrared remotes you need a CIR (Consumer Infrared Receiver). Hundrets of those are available, in most cases you need to watch out for a receiver "understanding" your remote. Here are also a lot of harmony owners, maybe they can help you choose a working device.
