since yesterday no new EPG data with mc2xml (1 Viewer)

I am using the little program mc2xml.exe to import the xmltv-file for my EPG. This tool uses the Microsoft EPG to update the guide. But yesterday I discovered that the dutch public channels (Ned.1-2-3) where empty after friday-evening.

When looking in the xml-file it seems there is only guide data from three days backwards instead of three day forward as that used to be the case for the Dutch public channels. Is there something going wrong with the date? Has anybody else (using mc2xml) noticed this or another failure?

I'm afraid you are right. In my case the TVguide has not been updated since June 11th

Same problem...

I am running mc2xml to retrieve two limited sets of channels from a Dutch line-up (Canal Digitaal) as well as from a UK one (Sky Digital Free Services) and merge those into one XMLTV file. I have noticed the refresh is indeed failing against my existing .dat file. A fresh full download from scratch gives the same result: no updated information....

Have MS put in place some kind of DoS to mc2xml, to prevent non-MCE users from downloading the data? That would be a realy pity....

Well, may be worth while checking with the mc2xml developer. A bit embarrassing as I have never made any PayPal donations. That might come back to bite me now....

It seems though that it still works in a sense that the status is: "No new data available" and not some error message.

My last update was on Wednesday 10/06

True - the service seems to be still up and running - and if you start from scratch you do get data back, but even a fresh download contains old stale data - FYI, I have just mailed mc2xml@gmail.com to see if he/she has any clue about what may be causing this... For now. I'll keep you posted on any feedback I get.

Indeed, message is 'no new data available'.

I just downloaded the latest version of mc2xml and deleted the .dat file. I now did get a new TVguide.xml file in. However the file is the same as Friday's. It seems that mc2xml still works but that the guide at MS was not updated since Thursday?

So it seems to be a problem with the service @ MS.

What alternatives are there?
