got it set up and working fine but getting skin warning with purevision 2.2, tried changing the references file but no joy, thing is its not every time i start up, can go 3 or 4 reboots but then appears, also seems to have toggled the basic home setting from off to on and vice versa??, any ideas

Are you sure you put the correct version when you edited it?
Check the references.xml on the blue skin to see what they are and edit the purevision to the same.

yup absolutely sure, changed it from 1.0.0.3 to 1.0.0.0,
i should make it clear i haven't bothered with the 1001 update yet after the reports, just thought it was worth a try
little update, now get the mesg using bluewide and again basic home screen is not, obviously broken something, god knows what, will have a look tomorrow spent bout 8 hrs on it today lol

well turned machine on this morn and guess what,,,no message???, something not quite right eh lol
when i first set the skin up it had some issues such as extra entries in home menu ie an "extra menu" which had all the contents of the home menu in it as well as plugins which i didn't want visable in there..
tried to solve this by disabling various plugins or setting them via configurator to not show in home etc, since then the basic home status is reversed ie it goes to basic home if set not to in config and vice versa?? have now reversed those but no diff..
have to say MP doesn't make it easy for skinners..
Only other thing i did do was take a look at the backup settings plug in, installed,ran the backup option. when things went pearshaped i uninstalled it (before making note of where the backups were kept,damm) not sure if this could have affected anything.
*update,, all looking good so far, am still getting the random skin warning though also my recorded TV does not show in this skin, do i have to have the tv series plug in?, the readme for skin is a bit vague on that..

anyone any ideas, the mesgage is often followed by a random change to the value of the skinobsoletecount parameter, does the warning depend on this value, it certainly seems to change whether or not there is the option for tick box for message to not be shown again..
