Skipping forward for intrinsic minutes (1 Viewer)

Hello I'm new to MP, but I love it by now
In the past I used my XCard with Tvedia.
In Tvedia it is possible to skip forward/backward for intrinsic minutes.
During playing a video you can insert numbers via the remote(0-999). By pressing skipforward/skipbackward Tvedia skips forward/backward for the
inserted number of minutes.
It was very useful to skip over Commercials. Is that possible in MP?

THX for you answer.
I know this function, but that's not what i mean.
I think it is much easier to press '1' & '5' and '>>|' to skip 15 minutes
instead of pressing seven(depending on you config) times '>>|'.
For skipping small distance this function may be the better choice.
