Thanks for the link.  However, to be honest, even ignoring MP, I can't see any advantage in this product over Skype's Video-calling (apart from possibly multi-video conferencing)?

The problem with (Skype) Video Calls in MP is that I can't grab the video stream and present it in an MP video window, the way it is possible to redirect the audio stream to different devices.  I don't think that the Video4IM will allow me to do this, either.  OTOH, if there was an API that would allow me to capture a V4IM video stream and present it in an MP window (preferably using existing MP stream presentation functionality), then we'd be in business (zero-profit business since it's all open source, of course, but in business!  :) ).

Finally, I'd always be concerned that V4IM looks like it might intend to be commercial (once it's out of test - it's currently V0.8.5 which I assume is kind of Beta-ish at best), and if we had built it into an MP plugin, that would present problems of a kind I think we wouldn't really want...

But thanks for suggesting it (and if my understanding of V4IM is incorrect, please let me know!) - I really do want to get Video Calling done one day...
