    Hi,

I´m new here and I need help. I tried to find solution on this forum and google as well, but with no luck.

My HTPC runs on Win7 Ultimate 32 bit and I have two TV cards:
    1. Asus my cinema 7131 (DVB-T)
    2. Technisat Skystar HD2 (DVB-S)

First card Asus works well (there are some issues with freezing, but I think it is because of bad setup or codecs - I´ll handle that later).
But problem is with Skystar, which can´t find any channels, because there is no signal.
Main problem is 4 port DiseqC switch. I think, MP can´t switching between LNBs, so there is no signal.

I tried old driver from CD (301) and MP was unable to find the card.
So I tried newest driver from web (501), MP found card, but with no signal.

I think, there is some problem with newest BDA drivers, which cannot work with DiseqC switch.
Older drivers maybye helps, but I can´t use them, if MP didn´t see the card.

So, anyone has same OS, same DVB-S card and DiseqC switch? Anyone has some advice for me?

Thanks for help and sorry my english.

    Hi there

MediaPortal should support DiSEqC 1.0 (4 port) switching with your tuner (see the attached screenshot). Can you post TV Server logs please. These can be found in:

    XP = C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log
    Vista/7 = C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log

You need to make sure your LNB local oscillator frequencies are also correct.

    1. Delete the logs.
    2. Restart TV Server.
    3. Scan for channels.
    4. Zip up the logs.
    5. Post them here.

    Hi again

Your logs indicate that your card is being treated as a Twinhan card. That obviously won't work since there is special code for handling the SS2. Can you please:

    1. Clear your TV Server logs.
    2. Restart TV Server.
    3. Attempt to tune to ***one*** channel with the Skystar.
    4. Post the TV Server logs here.

    Hi again

No worries. Here is what to do for step 3 :)

    1. Open TV Server configuration.
    2. Go to the TV channels section.
    3. Select a DVB-S channel that will be tuned by the Skystar.
    4. Click "preview".
    5. Wait for 30 seconds (or until the error shows) and then close the preview window if it appeared.

Ah, yes. But I haven´t any sat channels there, because scanning didn´t find one (no signal, no channels scanned).

    Then just scan instead...

Was only trying to reduce the log size and the test time for you.

    Hi again

I'm sorry but the sample doesn't help me. I need a sample of what happens when TV Server starts and when you scan your first channel with the Skystar.
