Hi

Here my question from the German forum. (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...te-treiber-fuer-skystar-hd2-54103/index2.html )

Maybe someone of you can help:

Graph/ Timeshift Problem with Windows Vista 64 and Technisat Skystar HD2.
I already went through all postings but still get the same error when clicking the preview button at Server Config – MP 1.01.

What I have done so far:
Fresh system with fixed IP. Assigned to the MP Server and MP itself. Scan for channels with driver Version 1.1.1.302 – some vertical channels are found: but Timeshift / Graph Problem
Sat 1, Pro7 etc are not found.
Reduced the Astra.ini to only can for Pro7. Nothing found.
Imported a channel list from this forum: Timeshift / Graph Problem

Installed older driver version 1.1.0.402. Now channel scan doesn’t find anything. Even in DVBViewer which perfectly works with the new driver.
Reduced memory to below 4GB: still the same problem.

Absolutely - the device manager shows version 1.1.0.402.
According to the Technisat Hotline this driver will not work under Vista 64 - this is also my point of view since DBVViewer even won't work with this one.

For me the situationlooks like this: only 1.1.0.402 is working with MP - but Vista 64 is not running with 1.1.0.402. So no chance to use that card under this configuration.

Threrefor it would be nice to have a solution from the MP side

    Cheers TOOM

I'm also using this card under vista x64 (same driver version).

I've similar problems (freezes, graph etc.), but at least the transponder scan worked fine so far. I found, that there are much more (all) stations (like Sat.1 etc.) found when I disable the "DVB-S2 advanced tuning features" checkbox before starting the scan.

    Sorry Neo,
I was out for some days.
Disabling the DVB-S2 feature hasn’t any effect to me.
But I found something new: somewhere here in this forum there is a posting, stating to reduce the vista memory through msconfig to below 4 GB to have the 1.1.0.402 properly working. I did so (see my above post) but even though: no channel scanning.

Now I further reduced the memory size to only 2048 MB and, you won't believe it: channel scanning works, no Timeshift / Graph Problem . MP works as it should do.

On the other hand: vista is getting very slow.

What you pros would suggest me? It seems like I wrote before: the 1.1.0.402 is working under Vista only with reduced ram – the new driver (1.1.1.302 ) is not working with MP.
Is there a chance to have the 1.1.1.302 up and running by doing some mods on MP ?
