How about having something like this for mediaportal?

It will look nicer, especially since imdb captures all the information of the movie. Having it nicely displayed like this as *an option* would be nice. Maybe pressing the right button would scroll to the next movie with information on that film as well.

what does everyone think?

It would be nice if the synposis/info/rating etc of the movie is shown as you're scrolling through movies for example.

My request was not for movie information, it was for a nicer movie selection interface while in filmstrip mode for example.

basically what i mean is, lets say you filmstrip activated, to view the movie poster while ur scrolling through movies, you'd be able to see movie information on the right hand side of the poster ala the pic i posted. If further details on the movie is needed (synopsis), then f3 can be pressed.

i think this will give the the videos section a nice professional feel. Like you're strolling through the aisles of a video store
