Slow and fast Channel Change depends remote (1 Viewer)

Hi Folks

I have a very stable setup but am not happy with the channel change speed. My OS is Vistax86 with both TV server and client on the same machine. If I use the channel up/down from my MCE remote the change time is 6-7 sec. If I press ok to bring up the guide quick cursor up and ok it takes about 1 sec to change.

I read some posts about vista x86 and slow channel change. Has anyone seen this ?

Any thoughts on what I can do. I seems my hardware is all capable something in the MP GUI is slowing it down. I use MySQL.

It's not the channel change speed but the "zap timeout" which can be configured in MP's general settings. Similar to the mini guide you can "accelerate" the channel change by pressing "OK" if you have reached the correct channel (The timeout should allow you to read the EPG before MP actually switches).

I had 5 seconds set in the zap delay in MP config, not sure why I had changed it but thats was the problem. Now my channel change is back to <2sec which is great
