Slow Channel Change (1 Viewer)

Hi All,
I've just rebuilt a new MP box. I threw a WinTV HVR 1300 in and all working good. One thing I have noticed, channel changes can take up-to 5 seconds some times. Is this normal?

I don't think it would be a resource problem as I am running a Core i7 2500K.

Processor speed has very little effect on channel change times. The things that do have an effect are:
- timeshift HDD speed
- tuner hardware (demodulator and tuner chips primarily)
- tuner driver
- the on screen display settings in the "on-screen display" subsection under "GUI" in MP configuration (note: only visible in "advanced mode")

As to whether it is normal or not: I would say probably yes, however if you could post your logs then I can tell you a bit more about why it is so slow.
